Pre- Installation Site Visit – Learn what happens on the day!

Every installation includes a pre-installation complimentary site visit conducted by a qualified installer. The upcoming article guides you through the proceedings on the day!

Pre-Installation Site Visit

After signing the quote, our team actively schedules each installation, coupling it with a complimentary site assessment performed by the installer. This proactive step is aimed at uncovering or anticipating any potential challenges that may arise on the day. This unique offering underscores our commitment to ensuring a seamless installation experience.

Unlike the majority of other solar retailers, who often rely on virtual assessments and offer limited on-site involvement until the installation day, our approach stands out.

Drawing from our experience, numerous installation issues arise due to eleventh-hour alterations such as changes in panel numbers, adjustments in layout, or relocations of inverters.

These unexpected changes might result in installations that differ from your initial agreement—a situation we aim to avoid

Here’s what to expect on the day of your scheduled site visit:

1. Assessment of Property and Roof

During the roof examination, we assess your roof’s structure, angle, orientation, and condition to ascertain its suitability for the proposed solar panel installation. This assessment step during the pre-installation site visit involves checking the layout and confirming panel numbers align with the proposed plan.

Conducting a shading analysis, we meticulously inspect for potential shading caused by nearby structures, trees, or obstructions that could impact solar panel efficiency. This assessment aims to identify shading issues not captured in your home’s imagery.

2. Electrical Assessment

During the electrical assessment, the installer checks the electrical switchboard’s capacity to accommodate the additional solar system and necessary connections. We ensure it meets code standards and confirm no additional work is needed on installation day.

Next, we inspect existing wiring and metering systems to assess their compatibility with the solar installation

3. Site Survey

We conduct a comprehensive site survey, including precise measurements of the roof to validate the proposed plan’s accuracy. Additionally, we document any potential challenges found during the pre-installation site visit or list adjustments essential for completing the work successfully.

4. Agreement

Lastly, after the pre-installation site visit, we review the original agreement and amend if required and finalise the plan ready for booking in for the big final installation day!

Imagine a Solar Installation where they get things right!

Once you approve your solar design with our consultants, we schedule a site inspection with a qualified installer. This helps prevent unexpected changes on installation day.
